A good advertising graphic starts with a clear message and a complete source package. The designer should not have to guess the product, offer, format, legal copy or destination requirements.
Define one primary objective
Choose the action the graphic should support: click, enquiry, purchase, event attendance or product understanding. One layout should not carry several competing goals.
Provide final copy and CTA
Supply approved headlines, supporting text, prices, dates, legal notes and the exact CTA. Placeholder copy often causes late layout changes and production errors.
Prepare source files
Send vector logos, brand colours, fonts or approved substitutes, high-resolution product images and any mandatory visual assets. Mark which files are authoritative.
State the production format
Social media, display advertising, print, large format and ecommerce have different dimensions and technical requirements. Specify destination, size, bleed, colour mode and export format where relevant.
Set visual hierarchy before decoration
The offer, product and CTA should win attention in the intended order. Effects, textures and background elements are secondary.
Approve against explicit criteria
Check copy, prices, product accuracy, logo usage, margins, dimensions, readability and export settings before publication or print.
